New Staff Technology Checklist
Welcome to Noble Schools! Use this checklist to get your technology set up on your first few days. Each item links to a step-by-step guide if you need help.
Day 1 — Account Access
- ☐ Log in to your school computer with your assigned username and password. Your username is firstname.lastname and your initial password will be provided by IT or HR.
- ☐ Change your password from the temporary one you were given.
- ☐ Set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) — required to access email and Google from off-campus devices.
- ☐ Log in to your school email — open Outlook from your Start menu or go to outlook.office.com. See Access Email via Webmail if you need help.
Day 1 — School Apps
- ☐ Log in to Google — open Chrome and sign in with your nobleps.com Google account. Your Google account uses the same email address as your school account.
- ☐ Access Clever — Noble Schools' single sign-on portal for educational apps.
- ☐ Log in to Canvas (teachers) — go to your school's Canvas URL or access it through Clever.
- ☐ Log in to PowerTeacher (teachers) — for grades and attendance at powerschool.nobleps.com/teachers.
Day 1 — Communication
- ☐ Set up Microsoft Teams — used for instant messaging and calls with colleagues. Open it from your Start menu.
- ☐ Confirm your email is working — send a test email to yourself or a colleague.
First Week — Devices
- ☐ Install the firewall certificate if you use a personal Windows device on school WiFi: Windows · If you use an iPhone/iPad: iPhone & iPad
- ☐ Set up email on your phone (optional): iPhone · Android
- ☐ Locate your nearest printer and confirm it is accessible from your computer. See Printer Troubleshooting if you have issues.
- ☐ Test your projector or SmartBoard (teachers). See Projector or SmartBoard Not Displaying if it is not showing your screen.
Ongoing — Good to Know
- Submitting an IT Request: Go to support.nobleps.com to submit a workorder for any tech issue. Include your room number and device type.
- Password resets: Use the self-service portal at aka.ms/sspr or submit a workorder.
- Payroll Stubs: View your payroll stubs online at any time.
- Leave Requests: Submit a leave request through the portal.
