Clever — Accessing Apps & Troubleshooting
Clever is the single sign-on (SSO) portal Noble Schools uses to give students and staff access to educational apps like Imagine Math, Prodigy, Moby Max, and others — without a separate username and password for each one.
How to Access Clever
- Go to clever.com/in/nobleps or find the Clever bookmark in Chrome.
- Click Log in with Google and use your Noble Schools Google account.
- Your assigned apps will appear as tiles on the Clever dashboard.
Students can also access Clever from their Chromebook by clicking the Clever bookmark or going through the app launcher.
App Is Grayed Out — "You Don't Have Access"
If an app tile appears grayed out or shows the error "It looks like you don't have access to that app. Please contact your district tech team," this means the app has not been assigned to that student or class in Clever.
To fix this, submit a workorder at support.nobleps.com and include:
- The app name (e.g. Imagine Math, Prodigy, Moby Max)
- The student's name and grade, or the class/section affected
- Your name and building
IT will update the app roster in Clever, which usually takes effect within a few hours.
Student Gets an Error Code After Clicking an App
Common causes:
- Rostering mismatch — The student's name or username in Clever does not match the app's records (often happens after a name change or re-enrollment). Submit a workorder with the student's name and the error message.
- App not yet synced — If the student was recently added to a class, Clever may not have synced yet. Wait until the next school day and try again.
- Browser issue — Have the student clear their Chrome cache (Ctrl+Shift+Delete → Cached images → Clear) or try in an Incognito window.
Teacher Dashboard — Adding or Removing Apps
Teachers can request that apps be added to their Clever portal. Contact IT with the app name and whether it supports Clever SSO (most major ed-tech apps do). IT will configure it at the district level.
Clever Is Not Loading at All
- Check your internet connection.
- Clear Chrome cache (Ctrl+Shift+Delete).
- Try logging out of all Google accounts in Chrome and logging back in with your school account only.
- Check status.clever.com to see if Clever is having a system-wide outage.
