Access Instant Messenger (Microsoft Teams)
Noble Schools uses Microsoft Teams for instant messaging, video calls, and file sharing between staff. Teams is pre-installed on all school Windows computers.
Opening Teams on Your School Computer
- Click the Start button and type Teams, then press Enter.
- Or look for the Teams icon (purple icon) in your taskbar or system tray (bottom right).
- Teams will open and sign you in automatically using your school account.
If Teams is not installed, contact IT via a workorder and we will install it on your computer.
Sending a Message to a Colleague
- Click the Chat icon (speech bubble) on the left sidebar.
- Click the pencil/compose icon at the top to start a new chat.
- Type the person's name in the "To:" field and select them from the dropdown.
- Type your message and press Enter to send.
Access Teams from Any Device
- Web browser: Go to teams.microsoft.com and sign in with your school account.
- Phone or tablet: Download the Microsoft Teams app from the App Store or Google Play. Sign in with your nobleps.com account.
Teams Notifications Not Working
- Click your profile picture (top right) → Settings → Notifications.
- Make sure notifications are set to Banner and email or Banner for the types you want.
- Also check Windows notification settings: Start → Settings → System → Notifications and make sure Microsoft Teams is allowed.
