As New
The book is in the state that it should have been in when it left the publisher.

Fine
As New but allowing for the normal effects of time on an unused book that has been protected. A fine book shows no damage.

Very Good
The book is worn but untorn. Any defects should be noted.

Good
Describe the condition of an average used worn book that is complete. Any defects should be noted.

Fair
The book shows wear and tear but all the text pages and illustrations or maps are present. Bindings may be loose, but not falling apart. Any defects should be noted.

Poor
The book contain the complete text of the book which can be read in its entirety. They can be soiled, stained, spotted, have loose bindings. The book is in the lowest useable condition. Any defects should be noted.

Damaged
A book that is missing text or is illegible. The book is not usable. Any defects should be noted.
